When you get a burn, the skin heats up, this means that the damaging process continues as long as the skin continues to be too hot. Through burns that also occur large losses of fluid when the body's skin barrier is broken and the risk of infection increases. Burn dressings prevent the damage from getting worse by containing gel that effectively absorbs this excess heat and conducts it away, they create a moisturizing barrier and have antibacterial properties. Products from Cederroth have a maximum size of 10x10 cm and can therefore only be used for minor burns. Snögg has larger dressings that measure up to 100 x 100 cm.
