The optional Laerdal Patient Monitor touchscreen provides accurate clinical feedback and simulates physiological parameters, including HR, ECG, SpO2, BP, RR, Temperature, etCO2 and 12 leads.

The accompanying headset and microphone enable effective two-way communication with the patient, which in turn further increases the realism of the simulation.

Work in a way that suits you

Two operational modes mean that SimPad PLUS has two unique ways to control simulations. The instructors can adjust the parameters themselves for real-time control or use the pre-programmed content to facilitate the work and obtain a higher degree of standardization.

Manual mode

Run manually for total control of the parameters or use different themes for a more constant simulation. With different themes, a quick and easy way to change the patient's condition is provided by a single tap.

Automatic mode

Take advantage of pre-programmed scenarios for a simple and efficient way to run a simulation. The logged events, as well as events tracked by the patient simulator, can automatically drive the scenario forward.

The SimPad® PLUS System is a tool that makes simulation easily accessible – when and where you need it. Whether you are practicing on a simulator, activity instructors or a standard patient, SimPad can provide support and help you get the best possible simulation experience.

SimPad PLUS System includes:

SimPad PLUS remote control, Link Box PLUS, 2 AC power sources, rechargeable lithium-ion battery, wrist strap for SimPad, dock strap for Link Box PLUS, protective sleeve, USB cable, Ethernet cable, handset/microphone and user manual.

The optional touchscreen patient monitor simulates heart rate, SpO2, blood pressure, respiratory rate, temperature, ECG and etCO2.

Blood pressure

• Simulation of auscultated and palpated blood pressure
• Korotkoff sound that synchronizes with programmable ECG
• Volume control for Korotkoff sound in 10 steps: 0-9
• The systolic and diastolic blood pressure can be set individually in steps of 2 mmHg
• Systolic: 0-300 mmHg, diastolic: 0-200 mmHg
• Auscultative pause, with on/off function
• Pressure accuracy +/- 4 mmHg
• Calibration function for adjusting the pressure reader and the cuff gauge

Pulses

• Monitors carotid, brachial, radial and umbilical pulses (available pulses vary by doll type)
• The pulses are only active when palpated
• The pulses are synchronized with the ECG
• The pulse strengths are dependently set or independently set
• The pulse in the brachial artery is stopped when the cuff pressure is above 20 mmHg
• The radial pulse is turned off when the cuff pressure is above the systolic blood pressure level
